The cryptocurrency Ethereum ETH - info and rate

Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation, after Bitcoin. Ethereum is the most actively used blockchain.

According to Yahoo Finance (March 2021): "From a relative performance standpoint, ETH, the second largest cryptocurrency, lags Bitcoin, only 20% from its all-time highs compared to Bitcoin's 175%. In previous cycles, we have seen ETH catch up to BTC's growth when BTC starts to correct as the gains taken from BTC are converted to altcoins. With ETH one to two cycles behind BTC in its growth cycle, it makes sense that the laggard's return from here would outpace BTC's larger market cap," said Jake Wujastyk, chief market analyst at TrendSpider.
